Barrambin Project Workshop – Artist walk-shop
The Barrambin project is about community engagement and reconnection with place and environment in the Kelvin Grove Urban Village (KGUV) now that the Victoria Park Golf Course has become a public park. The project aims to build on previous community story telling projects and include the more-than-human, bringing contextual and historical visibility/sensibility to the ancient creeks and waterways which exist in and around KGUV and Barrambin / Victoria Park, finding ways to “let the water speak”, re-connecting the village to Council’s current re-design of the parklands, and scaffolding the University’s ‘campus to park’ futures discussions. This session was an invite to researchers, artists, creatives, designers and others interested in the More-than-Human.
